Our Story

Our Story & Mission

PACE Preparatory Academy was founded on a simple but powerful idea: that a safe, supportive, and individualized learning environment can unlock potential in students who have struggled to thrive in traditional school settings. We serve students in grades 9 through 12+ right here in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Our mission is to provide every student with a focused, alternative educational program that enables them to earn and recover credit, graduate, and become self-motivated and competent adults. We pair academic rigor with real flexibility — meeting students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally, and building individualized pathways to help them reach their goals.

Today, PACE Preparatory Academy holds a 'B' rating from the Arizona Department of Education and is fully accredited by Cognia. We are proud to offer a small-community environment where students are truly known — and where graduating with confidence and a clear direction is the goal for every single student.

PACE Preparatory Academy uses a hybrid model that blends direct instruction with personalized, student-centered learning — giving students the structure they need and the flexibility to grow at their own pace.

Instruction

Hybrid Direct & Self-Paced Learning

Students experience a blend of direct teacher instruction and technology-based, self-paced coursework. This model accommodates different learning styles and allows students to progress according to their individual needs and goals.

Support

Proactive Coaching Model

Every grade level is assigned a dedicated coach who monitors grades, attendance, and progress weekly. When a student is struggling, coaches meet individually to set goals, build accountability, and create personalized action plans.

Family

Connected Parent Partnership

Families stay informed through a monthly newsletter, a call-out communication system (email, text, and phone), and 24/7 access to their student's progress via our Personalized Learning Platform (PLP) with weekly reports.
